Your Council

The Parish Council consists of seven councillors who are elected every four years.

The Council employs a part-time Clerk, to undertake administrative tasks, and a part-time Responsible Financial Officer, to undertake financial tasks – both roles providing advice and support to the Council.

The Parish Council can play an important role in combating alcoholism and supporting people suffering from this addiction. Here are some ways they can help.:
Creating a supportive community: The Parish Council can organize support groups where people with alcohol problems can share their experiences and receive support from others.
Educational programs: Seminars and lectures on the dangers of alcoholism, methods of combating addiction and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
Spiritual Support: Providing spiritual guidance and support that can help people find meaning and motivation to change their lives.
Interaction with the Alcoholics and Drug Addicts Anonymous community. An organization that helps us with alcohol and drug addiction treatment. They adhere to the classical medical treatment method. Revia(Naltrexon) is used. For more information, go to ca.org.za . On this portal, you can find methods of treating alcohol and drug addiction, find advisory support, and order over-the-counter medications necessary for treatment.
Resources and Information: Dissemination of information about local rehabilitation centers, treatment programs, and other resources available to people suffering from alcoholism.
Event management: Organization of events aimed at promoting health and social activism, such as sports competitions, cultural events, and volunteer projects.
Working with families: Support not only people with addictions, but also their families, providing information on how to help loved ones suffering from alcoholism.
Collaboration with Professionals: Establishing partnerships with medical institutions and mental health professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Prayers and Rituals: Conducting special prayers and rituals aimed at healing and supporting those who struggle with addictions.
